Report on Sanskrit Saptah Celebrations

On the occasion of "World Sanskrit Day", Sanskrit Saptah was celebrated at JSS Ayurveda Medical College, Mysuru organaized by the Department of Samhita & Siddhanta.

The Department has organaized various competitions for I BAMS students. Prof. T.N. Prabhakara, Sanskrit Scholar and Retired Additional Director of Higher Education Board, Govt.pf Karnataka, Bengaluru was the Chief Guest for Valedictory program held on 12th August 2022 and spoke about the importance of Sanskrit and Vijnana with his enlightening knowledge. Dr. Sabeswar Kar, Principal, JSSAMC, in his presidential speech highlighted the importance of Sanskrit knowledge in Ayurveda field. Dr. Rajesh A. Udapudi, Dean also inspired students with his encouraging words. Dr. Pankaj Pathak, HOSD, Department of Samhita and Siddhanta rendered the Votr of Thanks.

Program began with the 'Shloka Recitation Competition' and 40 students were participated. 65 studens participated in Poster Making. The theme was 'Sanskrit: As the Source of Knowledge Fields'. Posters were made with innovative ideologies based on ancient Sanskrit texts.

Skit competition was also organaized on the theme 'Panchatantra', 35 students participated. 32 students participated in Sanskrit Conversation competition.
