“PRAGATI-2024” - 2024-25 UG BATCH INDUCTION PROGRAMME
On 11-11-2024, JSS Ayurveda Medical College, welcomed another batch of young, energetic UG Students entering to I Professional BAMS curriculum through the “PRAGATI-2024” Induction Programme. All the Freshers were welcomed traditionally by applying Gandha and Kumkuma tilaka over their forehead.
Ms. Shobha and Ms. Maithri Joshi rendered the invocation and gave a perfect start through their melody. Dr. Sarbeswar Kar, Principal and Medical Superintendent, JSS Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital welcomed all the Guests, parents, students, staff and the gathering. Sir in his welcome speech also emphasised the Institutional achievements and the greater heights Grade ‘A’ awarded by QCI and NCISM recently. He emphasised on the fact that Suttur Math has rendered a lot to the society in various fields thus making the Society wholesome.
Interns Dr. Vinay and group recited the Ashwini Shloka during the lamp lighting. Freshers were welcomed by UG Coordinator Dr. Usha. D. T. Senior batch students while sharing her opinion, expressed gratitude to the Institution and thanked all the staffs for helping to mould her future. They also congratulated all the Freshers and their parents for choosing one of the best and premier Ayurveda Institutes for their career.
Dr. Kishore Kumar Ramakrishna, Professor &Head, Dept. of Integrative Medicine, NIMHANS, Bengaluru, was the Chief Guest. In his address, he explained the significance of Ayurveda in the present era of mirage of diseases where prevention is always better than cure. He also stressed upon importance of Teachers, Classical treatises in moulding the future of a student. He signified the importance of a doctor in building up a healthy society, thus a healthy nation and a healthy world.
Dean, Dr. Rajesh A Udapudi in his address highlighted the scope of Ayurveda and its merging scope in the near future.
Sri. R. Mahesh, Director, Medical Education Division, JSS Mahavidyapeetha in his presidential speech at first congratulated all the new-comers and their parents for choosing JSS Ayurveda Medical College as their choice among numerous Institutions across the nation. He promised that the Teaching staff of the Institution are focused in making the future life of students bright.
Dr. Aiyanna. P. P, Reader, Dept. of PG & PhD Studies in Shalya Tantra proposed the vote of thanks and gratitude. 97 Freshers and their parents cherished the programme.
Dr. Jyothy. K. B, Professor, Dept. of PG studies in Koumarabhritya mastered the ceremony.
Post lunch, Principal of the Institution interacted with students and parents, wherein he also gave a glimpse of the next 5½ year journey of all of them.
