NIYATI-2025

The Department of PG Studies in Kayachikitsa in association with Medical Education Technology Cell of our institution hosted NIYATI-2025 to commemorate World Cancer Day with the theme ‘United by Unique’ on 22nd and 24th of February, 2025.
In relation to this, a National Level e-Poster Competition was held on 22-02-2025 on the topics ‘Critical Analysis in the Samprapti of Cancer’ and ‘Clinical Approach in the Management of Cancer through Ayurveda principles’, which had received over 100+ registrations from across the country along with in-house participants and 90 posters were selected for presentation. The competition was majorly on an online platform.
On 24th February, 2025, Faculty Development Program was organized which was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Dr. Shreevathsa, Professor and Head, Department of PG and PhD Studies in Ayurveda Samhita and Siddhanta, Government Ayurveda Medical College, Mysuru; Dr. P Sudhakar Reddy, I/C Principal, Professor and Head, Department of PG Studies in Swasthavrutta, Dean- Dr. Rajesh A Udapudi, Professor and Head, Department of PG Studies in Kayachikitsa and; Medical Education Technology Cell co-ordinator- Dr. Madhusudan B G, Associate Professor and Head, Department of PG Studies in Roga Nidan evum Vikriti Vigyan. The program included a unique Testimonial Session wherein, four patients, who were treated in the Speciality Cancer Clinic of our Hospital, shared their testimonials live on-stage regarding the considerable improvement in the quality of their life and they were felicitated by the faculties.
After Inaugural Session, first session was engaged by Dr. Shreevathsa on the topic “Arbuda Avalokana” with references directly from the Samhita.
In the Afternoon session, Dr. Kiran P K, Assistant Professor, Department of Medical Oncology, JSS Hospital, Mysuru spoke on the topic ‘Recent Updates in the Management of Cancer’.
In the Valedictory ceremony, best e-Posters among in-house participants were feted Dr. Mahant, Final year PG Scholar, Department of PG Studies in Kayachikitsa and Dr. Sannuthi Chandana Sri, 2nd year PG Scholar, Department of PG Studies in Roga Nidan evum Vikriti Vigyan.
