GUEST LECTURE ON INTEGRATED APPROACH TO PARKINSON’S DISEASE

A guest lecture on “INTEGRATED APPROACH TO PARKINSON’S DISEASE”- was organised by Department of PG studies in Panchakarma of JSS Ayurveda medical College on 28-06-2025, for Staff, PG scholars and Internees.

The Resource person for the Guest Lecture was Dr. Umesh C., Assistant Professor, Dept. of Integrative Medicine, NIMHANS, Bengaluru.

Sir gave a brief introduction on working of Dept. of Integrative Medicine at NIMHANS, and then a detailed explanation regarding Parkinson’s disease, its variants, Kampavata, its nidana, samprapti, rupa and chikitsa in his presentation. He also enlightened us regarding the Ayurvedic management of Parkinson’s disease, with all recent researches.

Overall, it was a wonderful knowledge session with interaction regarding understanding of Parkinson’s disease in both contemporary and Ayurvedic point of view, with more than 100 students and teaching staffs benefited.
