FIELD VISIT BY FACULTY & STUDENTS

As a part of the academic curriculum of PG studies, Department of Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana of our institution had organized a visit to R&D Facility, Himalaya Wellness Company, Bengaluru on 16-07-2025.

Faculty of the Department of Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana, Dr. Jagadeesh Mitti, Professor and Head, Dr. V. Shreeshananda Sharma, Professor, Dr. Subrahmanya Puranik, Assistant Professor, and all 12 PG Scholars visited the R&D Facility, Himalaya Wellness Company, Bengaluru.

Initially Dr Ashok B K, Senior Manager, AYUSH & Scientific Services, Himalaya Wellness Company, briefed regarding vision and mission of their company. After this we visited various labs and sections of R&D facility. Dr Ashok B K accompanied us and showed around various departments like Analytical chemistry including LCMS labs, ICPMS labs, GCMS labs, Microbiology labs, etc. We were taken to Quality control department like Pharmacognosy labs and Scientific Publication department where we were briefed about different Journals and publications of their company. Later, we visited their in-house Animal house where we could get a glimpse about their experimental validation. The visit concluded with an interactive session with Dr Srikanth, Associate General Manager-Scientific Services, Himalaya Wellness Company, Bengaluru, and a detailed presentation regarding the functioning of their production facility.
