VOLUNTARY BLOOD DONATION CAMP

Dept. of PG Studies in Roga Nidan evam Vikriti Vigyan, along with Dept. of Kriya Shareera, NSS Unit and Youth Red Cross Unit, in association with JSS Hospital, Mysuru, organized a Blood Donation Camp on the eve of the 11th Ayurveda Day and in commemoration of the 111th Jayanthi celebration of Jagadguru Rajagurutilaka Dr. Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji, on 22.09.2026 at JSS Ayurveda Hospital, Mysuru.
The camp was inaugurated by Chief Guest Dr. Tina, Pathologist & Blood Bank Officer, JSS Hospital, Mysuru. In her speech, she stressed the importance of voluntary blood donation, highlighted its merits, and congratulated the Institution for conducting such blood donation camps every year. Dr. Sarbeswar Kar, Principal and Medical Superintendent, JSS Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, Mysuru, spoke about blood donation serving the purpose of one of the Trividha Dasoha as put forward by His Holiness Mahaswamiji, namely Arogya Dasoha, and encouraged the blood donors with best wishes, thanking Dr. Tina and the Blood Bank Division team, JSS Hospital, for their association in conducting the camp.
The programme commenced with Dhanvantari Stavana and lighting of the lamp by the guests and dignitaries.
More than 100 donors (students and faculties) were screened, and 44 units of blood were collected from the donors. All the donors were given refreshments along with a certificate.
Staff of the departments, Dr. Santosh. V. R, Youth Red Cross Coordinator, consultants, teaching and non-teaching faculties were present at the programme, along with PG Scholars, Interns and UG students of the college who also witnessed the event.
