ANTI-RAGGING WEEK OBSERVANCE

As part of the Anti-Ragging Week Observance, our Institution had organized an Awareness Program on the topic “Ragging in Educational Institutions: Its Implications on Students and Anti-Ragging Regulations & Measures” on 19th August 2025. The program was organized by the Institutional Anti-Ragging Committee and was specifically conducted for 1st Professional UG (BAMS) students.

Advocate Bhoomika Naik was the invited resource person.

The session was aimed at sensitizing students about the serious consequences of ragging, both from a legal perspective as well as its psychological and social impacts on victims. The speaker explained the legal framework, institutional responsibilities, and preventive measures as per the UGC and AYUSH guidelines. The importance of creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment was emphasized throughout the program.

The students actively participated and clarified their doubts regarding disciplinary actions and support systems available in the institution. The session proved to be highly beneficial in spreading awareness and reinforcing the commitment of the institution towards maintaining a ragging-free campus.
