SUSHRUTHA DAY CELEBRATION-2023

Department of PG and Ph.D studies in Shalya Tantra had organised a WORKSHOP ON AGNIKARMA on the eve of SUSHRUTHA JAYANTHI-2023 on 19/07/2023. Dr. Sushmitha, PG Scholar, as Master of Ceremony started the program by 10:00am. To begin with, invocation was done by Ms. Sumedha and team. Dignitaries along with the gathering were welcomed by Dr. Siddayya Aradhyamath, Professor and Head, Dept. of PG and Ph.D Studies in Shalya Tantra, JSSAMC. As a part of tradition, dignitaries on the dias were requested to begin the program by lighting the lamp. Chief guest of the program Dr. Annada Prasad Dash, Senior Pain Consultant, Cosmetology clinic, Bhuvneshwar, Odisha was introduced by Dr. Aiyanna P. P, Associate professor, Dept. of PG and Ph.D Studies in Shalya Tantra, JSSAMC and later guest adressed the gathering. As a token of respect, Dr. Annada Prasad Dash was honoured. Keynote was given by Dr. Rajesh Udapudi, Dean, JSSAMC and presidential speech was delivered by Dr. Sarbeswar Kar, Principal and Medical Superintendent, JSSAMC. At the end of the introductory session, vote of thanks was given by Dr. Poornima Jalawadi, Associate Professor, Dept. of PG and Ph.D Studies in Shalya Tantra, JSSAMC. Scientific session started by 11:00am which included a lecture on Agnikarma, various procedures adopted, benefits, steps and followed by live demonstration on Agnikarma by Dr. Annada Prasad Dash for 10 patients of different diseases pertaining to pain management and cosmetic purpose. All PG scholars, final year undergraduates and teaching staffs attended the entire day’s session and also actively participated in the interaction.
