National Nutrition week -Free school health checkup camp
In commemoration with 108th Jayanthi celebrations of His Holiness Jagadguru Dr. Sri Shivaratri Rajendra Mahaswamiji, the Department of PG studies in Swastavritta and Department of PG studies in Kaumarabhritya along with NSS unit of JSS Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital had organised free health check up camp at Government Higher Primary School, Lalitadripura from 2-9-2023 to 6-9-2023 on the occasion of National Nutrition week . It was conducted under the guidance of Dr. P. Sudhakar Reddy, Dr.Srihari.S, Dr. Jyothy.K.B, Dr. Soumya, Dr. Shashabindu,Dr.Shalini.M, Dr. Visal.S.Kumar, Dr. Preethi.H.M, Dr. Pooja, along with the PG scholars of the department of Swastavritta and Kaumarabhritya.
During the camp the children of the age group between 3 to 14 years where freely consulted, examined and treated accordingly with free medicines.
It was concluded that about 57% children where malnourished, 40% children where Anaemic and about 37% where suffering from worm infestation, and it was noted that 70% of the children were eating more of junk food.
The valedictory function was held on 7/9/2023 at school premises in the presence of school Principal and other staffs. Protein rich green gram Laddu along with the brochure containing preparation method and its health benefits were distributed to children and staffs of the school.
