Doctors’ Day Celebration

In Memory of great Indian Dr. B.C. Roy, JSS Ayurveda Medical College celebrated Doctor’s day on Saturday, 01-07-2023. On this occasion, two eminent doctors were felicitated Dr. Madhava Diggavi Acharya of Bellary and Dr. Manjappa. M. of Mysuru.

Dr. Madhava Diggavi Acharya is Professor & Head, Department of PG Studies in Kayachikitsa and Androlgy, Taranath Government Ayurveda Medical College, Hospital, and Research Centre, Bellary, after receiving the honour, in his speech, applauded the efforts by JSS Institutions in serving the society and needy. He putforth the importance of Scientific deliberations and understanding required for the age old promising Medical Science Ayurveda and for the same. He urged students to take up more and more Research works as it is gaining popularity for studies as well as for choice of medicine among public.

Dr. Manjappa. M is a renowned Cardiologist working as Associate Professor and Interventional Cardiologist at JSS Medical College and Hospitl, Mysuru. He insisted upon the responsibilities of a Doctor in society and he urged all the students to be more patients oriented and he insisted on the importance of Integrated Medicl Care with the significance in present day chronic diseases.

Sri. R. Mahesh, Director of Medical Education Division, JSS Mahavidyapeetha was the Chief Guest. In his speech, he highlighte the significance of balancing practice, patient care and Research, teaching, learning in the present era among Medical Professionals.

Dr. Sarbeswar Kar, Principal proposed the Presidential address. Programme started with inauguration by Dr. Rachana and Dr. Kavya, Dean of the Institution, Dr. Rajesh A.Udapudi welcomed all the Guests and gathering. Dr. Madhusudan. B.G., and Dr. Aiyanna. P.P. proposed the citation. Dr.Beena M.D., PG Co-ordinator rendered vote of thanks. Dr. Sandhyarani. D. was the Masterof Ceremony.
