The department of PG studies in Kayachikitsa, Organized Scientific webinar in hybrid mode on “Kamala (Jaundice) updates” under Vrutti Darshan- Career Guidance for Budding doctors JSSAMC on 21st May 2022. For PG Students and internees. The Resource Person for the Session was Dr Prashanth A S Principal, Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya, Hubli & Dean, Faculty of ISM&H, RGUHS –Bengaluru & Dr. B Gurubasavaraja, Senior Professor & Former Chief Medical Officer JSSAMC, Mysuru.
The Session was Started at 2:00PM. by seeking the blessings of God through invocation by Miss Swikruthi. Principal Dr.Rajesh A Udapudi welcomed guests and gathering. Key note for the program was done by Principal Dr Sarbeshwar Kar.
The program was inaugurated by Chief Guest Dr Kiran M Goud, Principal & CMO SKAMCH&RC, Bengaluru by giving brief knowledge about Kamala.

Dr. Ashok Kumar Panda, Reaserch officer CCRAS Bhubhaneswar and Dr. Hari Venkatesh, Head R& D, Sri Sri Tattva Bengaluru were expert speakers for the program and enlightened the participants with their experience sharing.
Valedictory address was give by Chief Guest Dr Mahesh K Senior physician, Clinical research Department Arya Vaidya Sala Kottakkal, Malappuram, Kerala. Session was concluded with Vote of Thanks by Dr. Beena MD, HOD & Assoc. Prof Dept of PG studies in Kayachikitsa.

Totally there were 108 PG & UG students participated in the program actively with live interaction.
Department of PG Studies in Kayachikitsa, JSSAMC conducted Guest lecture on the topic - An Approach to Cutaneous Examination and Skin Diseases on 21/05/2022 for IV year BAMS students & 1st year KC PG Scholars. The Guest Speaker for the Session was Dr Deena C Patil, Assistant Professor, Consultant Dermatologist & Aesthetic Physician, M S Ramaiah Medical College, Bengaluru.

The Speaker Dr Deena C Patil explained in detail about Examination of Skin and approach to diagnosis of Skin Diseases. It was an informative and interactive session.
Dr Rajesh A Udapudi, Dean and Professor, from the department of Kayachikitsa delivered the Presidential address.

Dr. Smitha M C, Assistant Professor, Department of Community Medicine, JSS Medical College, Mysuru was the guest speaker. Dr. Smitha M C spoke on the theme of World Health Day - 2022, "Our Planet, Our Health". Importance of the environment on human health, hazards of environmental pollution and measures to reduce the pollution and restore the environment were explained by the speaker. It was a very informative and interactive session benefited by more than 70 attendees.
On the occasion of World Malaria Day - 2022, Department of PG studies in Swasthavritta, JSSAMC, Mysuru has organized a Guest speech on 25th April at 3:30 pm for the third year UG students, PG scholars and teaching faculty. Mr. Venugopal M G, Senior Health Inspector, DVBDC, Mysuru district was the guest speaker. Mr. Venugopal M G spoke on Practical methods of diagnosis and mass treatments of Malaria. The speaker also shared his practical experience towards elimination of Malaria. It was a very informative and thought provoking session benefited by more than 70 attendees.
The program was initiated by Dr. Poornima Jalawadi, incharge Coordinator of IDS, with formal self introduction of the First year PGs. Dr. Rajesh A. Udapudi, Dean of Academics JSSAMC addressed the post graduate students with opening remarks. Dr. Sarbeswar Kar, Principal, JSSAMC welcomed all the students and requested the H.O.D. of all the departments to brief the opportunities, facilities provided from their respective branch of Ayurveda. Dr. Shreeshananda Sharma, P.G. Co-ordinator emphasised the importance of Inter Departmental Seminar in academic Curriculum, Rules & Regulation of IDS, Marks allocation and the winners of Previous IDS as- Dr. Pramod, 3rd year P.G. Scholar, Dept. Of Dravya Guna and Dr. Shivakumar Aldakatti, 3rd year P.G. Scholar, Dept. Of Shalyatantra. Principal encouraged the students to take up the integrated research work, to make the best use of teaching faculty and avail the opportunity of IDS positively as concluding remarks for the event.
Prof. Vd. Rabinarayan Acharya, Honourable Director General of CCRAS, Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India visited our college on 23-04-2022 and had an interactive session with Staff and PG Scholars.
Sir was welcomed by the Dean and Principal.
Sir had a session with all which was titled CONNECTING THE DOTS, in which he spoke on aspects of preaching (books) to practice of Research and various initiatives taken up by CCRAS in making up Research more vibrant among Ayurveda fraternity and students. It was an eye opener for all.

Sri Shekhar Dutt, who held many honourable posts like Former Governor of Chattisgarh, Former Director General, Former Principal Secretary to Govt. of India, visited our campus and had an interactive session with our PG Scholars and esteemed staff. He was heartily welcomed by Sri. R. Mahesh, Director, Medical Education Division, JSS Mahavidyapeetha. In his speech, Dutt stressed on the importance of transformation from a student to a teacher, availability of medical services to every citizen of India and also about different medical practices prevailing all over the world. He expressed his love for nature and also adored the beautiful green campus of our college.
