INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA 2024
On the occasion of 10th"International Day of Yoga - 2024", Mass practice of Yoga protocol was organized at Mysuru Palace on 21-06-2024 by Mysuru District Administration, Zilla Panchayat, Department of AYUSH, Mysuru Palace Board, JSS MVP institutions and Yoga Federations.
Thousands of Yoga enthusiasts from various organizations participated in the event by demonstrating their commitment to promote Yoga, Happiness and wellness with the Theme: Yoga for self, Yoga for society. The event wasinaugurated by Sri. Dr. H.C Mahadevappa, District Minister and Mysuru-Kodagu MP, Sri Yaduveer KrishnadattaChamarajaWadiyarat 7:30am. T. S. Srivatsa, MLA, K.R Constituency presided over the event. Dr. K.V Rajendra, D.C, Mysuru, Dr. Pushpa, DAO, Mysuru, City Police commissioner Ramesh Banothand other dignitaries attended the event.
The event began with the blowing of conch, followed by Practice of IDY protocol between 7:45 am to 8.30am. As a part of IDY protocol demonstration, Shantimantra was recited by our college team at the event and two students from our college demonstrated Yoga protocol over the stage.350participants including Principal, Dean, Teaching staff, PG scholars, UG students and non-teaching staffs participated in the event from our institution. The event was coordinated by department of PG Studies in Swasthavritta.
