"VRUTTI DARSHANA 10th Episode – 2024" - A National seminar on understanding infection & Antimicrobial agents - An Integrated Approach
Department of PG & PhD studies in Shalya Tantra of JSS Ayurveda Medical college Mysuru had organized VRUTTI DARSHANA- 2024, A National Seminar on understanding Infection & Antimicrobial agents – An Integrated Approach on 15-03-2024, Friday at Sri Rajendra Centenary Auditorium, JSS Hospital, Mysuru.
Dr. Siddayya Aradhyamath, Organising Secretary appraised about the program. Dr. Sarbeswar Kar, Principal & Medical Superintendent, Presided over the program and delivered Presidential Address where he stressed on Hon’ble Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi’s vision of 2030 integration.
The first scientific session was by Dr. Ranjitha Shankare Gowda, Assistant Professor, Dept of Microbiology, JSS Medical College & Hospital, Mysuru where madam briefed about various infectious agents.
Next session was by Dr. Namratha, Assistant Professor, Dept of Pathology, JSS Medical College & Hospital, Mysuru, who briefed about Understanding the Patho physiology of infections.
Third session was by Dr. Kalabharathi. H. L, Professor, Dept of Pharmacology, JSS Medical College, Mysuru. Madam highlighted the rational use of Antimicrobials.
Dr. Nataraj H.R. Associate Professor & Dean Research, SDM College of Ayurveda & Hospital, Hassan, suggested some topics of importance understanding Infection in Ayurveda Phyto-Antimicrobials past and future.
Post lunch session was handled by Dr. Satyanarayana Bhat, Principal, Muniyal Institute of Ayurveda, Manipal. Sir spoke on the topic A Critical Analysis of Rasousadhis with special reference to their Microbial Activity. Sir shared his vast experience of Rasaousadhis in clinical practice and research papers on individual rasaousadhis which highted rasaousadhis composition, mode of action and anti-microbial activities. It was a brainstorming lecture with huge collection of research publications on many Rasaousadhis.
This session was followed by talk by Scientific Manager of Sri Dhootpapeshwar Pharma Pvt. Ltd where he explained about the topic efficacy and non-toxicity of Ayurvedic drugs.
Dr Sudheesh Kumar S & Dr Ashis G R of Vaidyaratnam Ayurveda Pharmacy spoke on traditional wisdom to clinical approach.
This was followed by Valedictory Program. Dr. N. Anjaneya Murthy was the Chief Guest. Dr. P. N. Rao, Principal, SDM College of Ayurveda, Hassan and Dr C P Madhu, Medical superintendent, JSS hospital, Mysuru praised & felicitated Dr. B. Gurubasavaraja, Former CMO of JSS Ayurveda Medical College, Mysuru. Sir was also felicitated by his students and alumni of the college and also his colleagues.
Few delegates gave feedback about the seminar. It was a great event which was held in hybrid mode. There were more than 500 had joined in online mode and 300 delegates were present at the venue who actively participated in the knowledge session.
