Report on Conservation & Propagation of Traditional Healing Practices - Workshop
JSS Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital, Mysuru organized one day workshop on “Conservation & Propagation of Traditional Healing Practices” on 3-8-2023, Thursday from 2pm-4pm at college yoga hall.
There was 2 scientific sessions:
Session 1 by Dr. Abdul Kareema, Phd, Associate professor, TDU- Bangalore. He presented about importance of rich Biodiversity for healthy ecology, Specialized Bio- geographical areas of flora and addressed the issue of decline of number of medicinal plants from past to present and expressed his expertise views on importance of conservation & Propagation of Medicinal plants through having MPCA at every taluk level and also encouraging the utilization and promotion of Knowledge of Traditional Health Practioner.
Session 2 was by Sri. Fayaz Ahamed Khan, Folklore Practioner, Gudibande, Chikkaballapur. He shared his experiences of traditional Health practices in treating many patients from across the nation. He practically showed the wet and raw herbs and explained its application in various health conditions.
Total 142 delegates including teaching faculties, PG scholars from all department and IV BAMS students got benefited from this programme.
