The Induction Programme of the 25th batch of BAMS students and Post Graduate Scholars was conducted on Friday, March 05, 2021. The programme commenced with an invocation by Dr.Tejaswini. The dignitaries inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. Dr. P. Sudhakar Reddy, Prof. & HOD welcomed the gathering.
Chief Guest Dr. Anjaneya Murthy, Retd. Joint Director, Department of AYUSH, Govt. of Karnataka, in his speech mentioned about the importance of a teacher and the qualities that a doctor should possess. He also mentioned about the acceptance and practice of Ayurveda and Yoga worldwide and also the opportunities and scope of Ayurveda educaion. He stressed on punctuality to the classes and importance of practical exposure with patients in the hospital.
Dr. Rajesh A. Udapudi, Dean, Academics, JSS Ayurveda Medical College, Mysuru, in his presidential address said that all the students should have commitment and dedication throughout the course. He also explained the resources available in the college, and encouraged the students to utilize it to gain knowledge. Further, he also explained the various career opportunities available after completion of the course including the job of Practitioners, Researches, Academicians and Administrators.
Dr. Shelly Divyadarshan, Reader, proposed a vote of thanks.
All the students of 2020-21 batch BAMS and PG Scholars, their parents, teaching and non-teaching staff participated in the programme.
