Mysuru, May 25, 2018: The Department of Shareera Rachana, JSS Ayurveda Medical College, Mysuru, had organized a two-day National Workshop on ‘Drishtartha Shareeram-2018’ on 25 & 26 May 2018, under the theme ‘Hands on Training on Difficult Areas in Dissection,’ for Ayurveda professionals and students.
The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. C. G. Betsurmath, Executive Secretary, JSS Mahavidyapeetha. In his inaugural speech, he highlighted the use of modern education tools in developing dissection skills and need of improving the quality of medical education.
Mr. Mahesh R., Director, Medical Education Division, JSS Mahavidyapeetha, was the special invitee on the occasion. In his address, he emphasized the need for this kind of unique workshops in updating the skills and knowledge of Ayurveda faculties and students.
College Principal Dr. Rajesh A. Udapudi welcomed the gathering. He stressed about the need for skills in conducting dissection. Dr. Alka Jayavanth Kumar, Organizing Secretary of the workshop narrated the objectives of the workshop.
About 200 delegates from all over the country have taken part in the workshop, which will have live demonstrations, plastination techniques, slide preparation, etc.
Earlier the programme commenced with an invocation by Ms. Shambhavi. Dr. Shelly Divyadarshan proposed a vote of thanks and Dr. Suma K J anchored the programme.
