The Department of Kayachikitsa and Samhita Siddhanta, JSS Ayurveda Medical College, Mysuru, had jointly organised ‘Charaka Chintana-2020’, a national webinar on Charaka Avalokana from December 14 to 22, 2020.

The programme commenced with an invocation by Ms. Sweekruti, Final year UG student of the College. Dr. Sarbeswar Kar, Principal, JSS Ayurveda Medical College, Mysuru, welcomed the guests and the gathering. Dr. Deepa Patil, UG Co-ordinator presented the eight days webinar report briefly.

Chief guest Dr. Manoj Nesari, Advisor (Ayurveda), Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, New Delhi, delivered the valedictory address. He mentioned the different principles of Charaka Samhita, how to adopt them in clinical practice and he also explained how to interpret the different concepts of Charaka Samhita in the right manner.

Dr. Beena, MD, Programme Organizing Secretary and Head of the Department, Kayachikitsa, JSS Ayurveda Medical College, Mysuru, announced the winners of “Charaka Chintana-2020” – National level elocution competition, which was held on December 15.

Dr. Rajesh A. Udapudi, Dean, JSS Ayurveda Medical College, Mysuru, presided over the function. In his presidential address, he expressed his view that more such programmes are required, and congratulated the department for organising it.

Dr. Hrishikesh O.K., Assistant Professor, Dept. of Samhita Siddhanta, JSS Ayurveda Medical College, Mysuru gave a vote of thanks. Dr. Pooja, Assistant Professor, compered the programme.
