The Department of Kayachikitsa and Ayurveda Samhita and Siddhanta had jointly organized ‘Charaka Chintana-2020,’ a national webinar on Charaka Avalokana, as part of the guest lecture series from December 14 to 22, 2020. There will be eight scholarly scientific sessions based on 8 Sthanas of Charaka Samhita in the series.

In the inaugural program, Chief Guest Dr. B.S. Shridhara, Joint Director, Department of AYUSH, Bengaluru, Government of Karnataka, explained the importance of Charaka Samhita to the students, and how to adopt the principles of Charaka Samhita in daily life.

Dr. Sarbeswar Kar, Principal, JSS Ayurveda Medical College, Mysuru, presided over the function. In his presidential address, he said that even in the era of super-specialty, ayurvedic principles are very much relevant and applicable in all diseases. He said that the fundamental concepts of Charaka Samhita should be understood properly.
